Privacy Policy
In plain language: this policy describes how we currently handle information collected through this website and through phone calls to our office. We collect what we need to respond to service requests and to keep the site working. We do not sell your information. If you want your information deleted, call (602) 669-3861 and ask.
This policy applies to the website of 911 Restoration of West Valley and to inquiries you send us through it. It does not cover other websites you may reach from links here.
Information we collect
Contact form submissions
When you fill out a form on this site, we receive what you type into it. That typically means your name, phone number, email address, property address or city, and a description of the damage or question you are writing about. Whatever you choose to include in the message field comes to us as well, so use judgment about sensitive details.
Phone calls
When you call, we take down the information needed to dispatch a crew and open a job file. Name, callback number, property address, and the nature of the problem. Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality and training purposes. If a call is being recorded you will be told at the start of the call.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and move through the site. It sets cookies, which are small text files stored in your browser, and it collects information such as approximate geographic location derived from IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, time on page, and the site or search that referred you. This is aggregate traffic data. We do not use it to identify individual visitors by name.
Server logs
Our web host records standard log data automatically, including IP addresses, timestamps, requested pages and browser identifiers. Logs are used for security monitoring, diagnosing errors and detecting abuse.
Job and service records
If you hire us for water damage restoration or any other service, we create a job file containing property details, photographs and moisture readings documenting the damage, work performed, and billing information. That file exists because restoration work requires documentation, particularly where an insurance claim is involved.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule a visit or free visual inspection
- To dispatch crews and communicate about work in progress
- To prepare estimates, invoices and claim documentation
- To follow up after a job about warranty questions or feedback
- To maintain records required for accounting, licensing and insurance purposes
- To understand site traffic and improve the pages and information we publish
- To protect the site and our business against fraud and abuse
We may contact you about your inquiry by phone, text or email using the details you provided. If you tell us to stop contacting you, we stop.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing. We do not provide your contact details to lead brokers or unrelated contractors.
Who we may share information with
Service providers
Companies that operate parts of our business on our behalf may handle information in the course of doing so. That includes our website host, our form and email providers, analytics services, payment processors, and software we use for estimating and job management. They are permitted to use the information only to perform their function for us.
Insurance carriers and adjusters
If you engage us on a job you are filing an insurance claim for, we share job documentation with your carrier, adjuster or public adjuster. That includes photographs, moisture readings, scope of work and invoices. This is how claims get paid, and it only happens for claims you have chosen to pursue.
Others involved in your project
Where relevant to the work, we may exchange information with parties such as a property manager, landlord, HOA, plumber or general contractor, when you have involved them or when they are the party authorizing the work.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena or valid legal process, when necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to prevent harm to someone.
Business transfer
If the business is sold or reorganized, customer records may transfer with it as a business asset.
Cookies and opting out
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so will not break your ability to read this site, though some functionality may behave differently.
Google offers a browser add-on that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits across all sites that use it. You can find it by searching for the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Many browsers also offer tracking protection and Do Not Track settings. Our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals in a standardized way, which is worth knowing rather than assuming otherwise.
How long we keep information
Inquiries that do not turn into work are kept for a limited period and then discarded. Records for completed jobs are kept longer, because restoration documentation may be needed years later for warranty questions, disputes about a property damage history, or tax and insurance recordkeeping. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the analytics service.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, including encrypted connections to this website, access controls limiting job files to staff who need them, and accounts secured with individual credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not send information you consider highly sensitive, such as financial account numbers or government identification numbers, through the contact form.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging services for property they own or manage. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, call and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information we hold about you. California residents have rights under the CCPA, and residents of several other states have comparable rights under their own laws. In plain terms, these generally include:
- The right to know what categories of personal information we have collected about you and why
- The right to request a copy of that information
- The right to request correction of information that is wrong
- The right to request deletion of your information
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, which is not applicable here because we do not sell it
- The right not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights
We extend these rights to anyone who asks, regardless of what state you live in, because maintaining separate rules by geography serves nobody.
Requesting deletion or access
Call (602) 669-3861 and tell us what you want. We will verify that you are the person the information belongs to, usually by confirming details only you would know such as the property address and the approximate date of contact. Then we handle the request within a reasonable time.
Some information cannot be deleted on request. Records tied to a completed job, an open insurance claim, an unpaid invoice or a legal obligation are retained until that obligation ends. If we cannot delete something, we will tell you what and why.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change. The version posted here is the one in effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies.
